Ken Woodward

Ken's life was changed forever by a devastating workplace accident, which cost him three of his five senses. The needless chemical incident tragically left him without his eyesight, sense of smell and taste. His family, friends and colleagues lives were shattered and traumatised by Ken's injuries.

But Ken's strong survival instinct meant that he wanted be more than just a victim. He knew that, like all accidents, his could easily have been prevented and he was determined to make sure that he would do all he could to prevent other people being hurt at work.

Ken embarked on a journey that ultimately led to him becoming one of the world's most inspiring safety speakers, providing people with the vision, motivation and confidence to challenge safety at every level. He has worked closely with WrightWay and their clients for many years.

Ken also worked with leading training film producers Bruce Corby and Rob Coyle to make a number of best-selling training films, which have made a dramatic difference to the safety performance of thousands of organisations and, literally, millions of individuals working lives all over the world.

This has now culminated in Ken leading his production team to create the most accurate and compelling film versions of his story. The resulting two stunning films, ‘Hindsight – The Ken Woodward Story' and ‘Lessons From A Blind School', are the official training programmes that Ken uses in all his presentations. They are sold throughout the world in 8 different languages.

In 2006, Ken received an OBE from Prince Charles for his outstanding contribution to health and safety.
