Progress Review

Ensuring that the teams and management acknowledge their accepted accountability for timely delivery of the specified procedural and safety improvements

Progress Review

The material gleaned in the gold dust gathering process is analysed by a company working group and a strategy of implementing effective change is formulated from within the company asssisted by WrightWay personnel.

At an agreed time – usually six months after the first round of workshops – follow-up visits and meetings are held to ensure feedback loops are closed and improvements are effectively owned, measured and controlled. This reinforces the principle that the teams must fully support the process and must accept accountability for the timely delivery of the specific safety and procedural improvements.

The results that can be achieved by following this process are impressive. BC Ferries with WrightWay’s help enjoyed a reduction in time lost through injuries of 29% and lost work days of 43% with an attendant reduction in overtime payments. In addition this process yielded a saving of Can $700,000 on their fuel bill.
